I grew up in a home where I witnessed domestic violence as a young child. Years later, my mother started volunteering at a local shelter. From then on, I knew I also wanted to volunteer my time to help survivors of abuse. I began answering crisis calls for VRC, and I haven’t stopped volunteering since.
