Scott Baird has been part of the Lake Tahoe community since 1989 and brings more than 25 years of public service experience to the Vista Rise Collective. A Fire Captain Paramedic with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, Scott has built his career around leadership, teamwork, and community resilience—values that strongly align with Vista Rise Collective’s mission to help individuals and families live safe, stable, and empowered lives.
Scott and his wife, a South Lake Tahoe native, are proud local business owners who remain deeply connected to the Tahoe community. Together, they believe in investing in the region’s future by supporting programs that promote safety, compassion, and opportunity. Their shared commitment to service extends beyond business and public safety—they view community involvement as both a responsibility and a privilege.
Through his fire service career, Scott has seen firsthand the effects of crisis and trauma, which has strengthened his belief in prevention, education, and collective care. His calm, compassionate leadership style and focus on trust and accountability reflect both his professional experience and personal values.
When not serving the community, Scott enjoys spending time outdoors with his family—embracing the mountains, lakes, and seasons that make Tahoe unique. As a Vista Rise Collective board member, he hopes to help foster a stronger, safer, and more connected community for generations to come.
