Youth leadership
LVF In Our Schools
As this generation begins their journey, we want them to have the healthy relationships they deserve.

Classroom-Based Programs
Our prevention programs are tailored to children’s age groups to begin the conversations and teach them how to exemplify positive and healthy relationships.

Child Abuse Prevention Education is our school-based program for preventing child abuse and is taught in kindergarten, first, and fourth grades. The program, at age-appropriate levels, introduces what abuse is and teaches boundaries, good and bad touch, good and bad secrets, and how to report abuse.

Expect Respect is our school-based program for preventing teen dating violence and promoting safe and healthy relationships. Expect Respect is a comprehensive prevention program designed to raise awareness of dating violence, teach skills for healthy relationships, develop youth leadership, and increase safety and respect on the South Tahoe Middle School and South Tahoe High School campuses.

One Love is our school-based program in Alpine County. It educates young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships, empowering them to identify and avoid abuse, and learn how to love better. One Love engages young people with powerful films and honest conversation. Through workshops and peer-to-peer discussions, the program offers a framework that helps students spread the message online and in their communities.
